Char: “BEST IN TEST” “The ultimate packraft for wilderness adventures” (Jakt og fiske, mai -22)
Char is our best packraft with the best design and the best materials: Imported nylon 66 with super-strong layers of urethane. This has proven to be a very safe choice for several years. The high quality of the materials means that this is also the lightest packraft with the lowest volume when you put it in your backpack.
We have relaunched this model that we had a few years ago, of course with several upgrades. This is suitable for you who are not very tall, and/or prioritize low weight and volume. We also deliver this in a vibrant pink color. The Char 235 is suitable for people up to 180 cm.

We have equipped this model with a permanently mounted cover. Here you can paddle with an open cocpit solution on fine days. The cover is designed so that with the right paddling technique, the water from the paddles will end up on the outside of the cockpit and run off the packraft. If the weather is bad and/or you just want to sit under the cover, just put on the skirt that is pulled over the cockpit. The 100% cover is then dry. This is a major advantage of such covers. The skirt and the tube that is threaded into the cover can be stored in your backpack, for example, if you don't need it. Flat water covers with zippers and Velcro will always take in water somewhere. The cover on this packraft is completely waterproof.

I've been using the Char 220 for a while now and I'm very satisfied! The quality of these is very good and actually on par with other somewhat overpriced brands out there.
With a height of up to 180cm, you'll fit perfectly in the 220. .
Most of my trips are on flat water, and I can recommend mounting a skeg on the stern for directional stability of the craft. This applies to all packrafts, by the way.

Thank you very much for your kind comment and for being so satisfied with our packrafts. We agree with you that they are of high quality and that the fin underneath is a big advantage.

Got my Kipara Char 235 Medium on Thursday, and today I've been on the water for 5 hours. The packraft is stable, well thought-out, and you sit comfortably. It's easy to put in the seat cushion and backrest, it takes 3-4 minutes with an electric pump and the raft is inflated and you're ready for your trip. With my 100 kg+ and 1.78 m height, I sit comfortably, even with a daypack under my knees. Absolutely recommended, and I look forward to more trips 👍

Absolutely fantastic packraft. I'm 168 cm long and it fits perfectly. I've paddled in lakes and rivers, with and without gear. Very good quality material. Quick to inflate and pack up.

I've had the packraft for about a month and have tried it on both flat water and a flooded, fast-moving river. So far, it has met and exceeded my expectations. What impresses most is the strength and quality of the boat and, not least, the construction materials. I've hit countless rocks at high speed in the river, but there are barely any visible cosmetic marks on the boat. Very satisfied so far.

Very satisfied. I have paddled and carried into Sorjus, Rosna and paddled 20 kilometers down the Saltdalselva River. The raft is solid and feels safe. 👍
