Having paddled other pack rafts for a long time, I was a little skeptical about buying a raft that was so much cheaper than I was used to. I quickly discovered that there was nothing to worry about. It can withstand just as much, has better attachment options, a better valve solution, is better and faster to paddle with and feels more comfortable to sit in than the ones I've had before. I've just come from a week's trip with both rapids and still water paddling, and my friend who is a better paddler and has a raft that is a third more expensive struggled to keep up. There have been some incredibly fun trips in the river, and a lot of wear and tear. The amazing thing is that despite the near abuse of the Char with endless scraping of the underside, there is hardly a scratch to be seen.
