Char is our best packraft with the best design and the best materials: Imported nylon 66 with super-strong layers of urethane. This has proven to be a very safe choice for several years. The high quality of the materials means that this is also the lightest packraft with the lowest volume when you put it in your backpack. The Char models are the same ones that Lars Monsen also sells in his stores under the name Karasjohka Ultra Light. He has therefore chosen the best packraft!

Char 245 is suitable for people up to 185 cm.

Choose whether you want Tizip with or without. Tizip is an air- and waterproof zipper that allows you to open the tubes and store luggage in them, which can be worth its weight in gold on longer trips.

We have equipped this model with a fixed spray deck. On nice days, you can paddle with the open cockpit solution. The opening of the spray deck is large enough that if you wish, you can lie back with your legs on top of the tubes. The spray deck is designed so that with reasonably correct paddling technique, water from the paddle will end up on the outside of the cockpit and run off the packraft. In bad weather and/or if you simply want to sit under the spray deck, just put on the spray skirt that goes over the cockpit. Then the spray deck is watertight. Such spray decks are a big advantage. The spray skirt and the tube that is inserted into the spray deck can be stored in a backpack, for example, if you don't need it. Flatwater spray decks with zippers and velcro will always let in water somewhere. The spray deck on this packraft is completely waterproof.
