Kipara was established in 2017. The founder, Kolbjørn, is an avid fisherman and outdoorsman himself, and he quickly saw the benefits of a lightweight and sturdy boat that fits a regular backpack. With Kipara packrafts, he began to develop high-quality packrafts at a lower price than the competition. At the same time, he was able to find new, smart solutions that were quickly incorporated into production.
In the fall of 2019, Kipara started a collaboration with Lars Monsen. This was a good confirmation that we make decent products: Lars doesn't go on trips with equipment that doesn't measure up! Now he is also actively involved in the development of new packrafts. You can often see that Kipara is at the forefront of smart solutions, and we're not afraid to innovate.
