Kipara Inflatable Packraft and Canoe Vest is specially designed for packraft and canoe paddlers who are concerned with minimal volume and weight. With its 300 grams and very low packing volume, this is perhaps the most compact life jacket on the market. The vest is equipped with an inflation valve, and the chamber extends around the neck. The back is made of mesh, which means you sit comfortably in the packraft without conflict with the backrest or tubes. Combined with a very low price, this is a great vest to take on a trip.

Usage:
The vest excels primarily on trips that combine walking and paddling, but can be used for most trips on flat water, in rivers and in the sea. It provides good buoyancy and comfort for swimming in calmer water and moderate rapids (river paddling). For serious river paddling, we recommend traditional foam-filled PFDs with impact protection and possibly a rescue harness.

When designing a vest for packrafting, there are many different things to consider, and there are some conflicting needs. As a result, you have to prioritize different functionalities, which results in a compromise. It is extremely important that the user of Kipara Inflatable Packraft and Canoe Vest understands that the vest is not certified as a PFD (Personal Flotation Device) or lifejacket (which requires a guarantee that an unconscious paddler will float face up in the water). Because different people will fill different amounts of air into the vest, it can never be certified. In an extreme scenario, it is also possible to forget to inflate the vest. It is the user's responsibility to use the vest correctly. The vest is intended to help you stay afloat if you end up in the water. This lifejacket does not guarantee the prevention of drowning and is not considered personal protective equipment.
